Don’s Electric & Plumbing Inc. Who are we?

Don’s Electric & Plumbing Inc. was Established right here in Canajoharie in 1984 by Donald La Comb, a Vietnam Veteran of the US Army 101^st Air Bourne. Shortly after getting out of the army around 1972, Don started working for J.F. Frank & Sons, also a Canajoharie born business Established in the 1930’s. In 1986, Don acquired J. F. Frank and Sons and merged the two companies under the name Don’s Electric & Plumbing Inc. Don owned and ran Don’s Electric & Plumbing Inc. along with his wife Marie La Comb until they retired in 2015 when their son Matthew La Comb Acquired the company. Matt, a Canajoharie High school graduate, started working part-time while still in high school in 1990. Matt started working full-time after graduating from TCI Technical Institute out of Hartford, CT and now owns and operates the business with his wife Ellen La Comb.
Here at Don’s Electric & Plumbing Inc., we believe in small town family values, offering our customers excellent service at a reasonable price. We offer a full line of services including, but not limited to, home heating (forced hot air and boiler systems) – both Central A/C and portable, full electrical and plumbing (both installation and repairs), home appliances (sales and service), unit heaters, and Goulds well pumps. Here at Don’s Electric & Plumbing Inc., we pride ourselves on being able aid our customers starting with the sale and installation right through to maintenance and repair of all your projects.

If we don’t do it, chances are we work with a contractor who does.
We also have a 2400 square ft. store front where we sell home appliances, appliance parts, plumbing, electrical, along with HVAC parts and equipment just to name a few. We have a fully functional gas fireplace and stove display along with GE Appliances and Eden Pure Heaters for our customers to peruse. We offer discounts for contractors on all our electrical and mechanical equipment and repair parts.
