Don’s Electric & Plumbing Inc. was Established right here in Canajoharie in 1984 by Donald La Comb, a Vietnam Veteran of the US Army 101st Air Bourne. Shortly after getting out of the army around 1972, Don started working for J.F. Frank & Sons, also a Canajoharie born business Established in the 1930’s. In 1986, Don acquired J. F. Frank and Sons and merged the two companies under the name Don’s Electric & Plumbing Inc. Don owned and ran Don’s Electric & Plumbing Inc. along with his wife Marie La Comb until they retired in 2015 when their son Matthew La Comb Acquired the company. Matt, a Canajoharie High school graduate, started working part-time while still in high school in 1990. Matt started working full-time after graduating from TCI Technical Institute out of Hartford, CT and now owns and operates the business with his wife Ellen La Comb.

  • Find your breaker box and look for the circuit labeled “air conditioner
  • Try flipping that circuit to “off” and then “on”
  • Give your air conditioner a couple minutes and see if it comes on now

  • Check your home’s electrical panel. Flip the furnace’s circuit to “off” and then “on” again.
  • Look for a switch (like a light switch) near your furnace and make sure it is set to “on”.
